Guidelines for Research Paper Presentation at ERTAI-2010

  1. The research papers have been categorised into various sessions; each session consisting of 4-5 research paper presentations. The presentations may be run in parallel tracks. Detailed schedule for the workshop is available on the website. Please check in advance the time and location of the session in which your paper is to be presented.
  2. Please be present at the hall, where your presentation is to take place, at-least 10 minutes before the session start time.
  3. Meet the session chair and introduce yourself during the break before your session.
  4. Make sure you load your presentation in the machine provided in the workshop hall, during the break before the session. We request you not to use your own laptop for presentation unless you have any special software requirements.
  5. The workshop hall is equipped with a modern A/V system. Presenters will use a clip-on microphone. A computer with OpenOffice, MS-Office and PDF reader will be available to help you present your slides. If you have any other special requirements for your presentation, please contact us at the earliest.
  6. Time is very critical in a workshop presentation. At ERTAI-2010 workshop, every presentation is given 20 minutes overall. Thus, you will have 15 minutes for your presentation and 5 minutes for questions/answers. Please restrict your presentation to 15 minutes.
  7. Your audience may not be able to absorb many new ideas during a short presentation. Try to concentrate on a few key points in your presentation, and express them in a way that is simple and easy to understand. Those who get interested in your work, can read the details in your paper and/or talk to you later during the day.
  8. For a 15 minute presentation, we recommend not more than 10-15 slides. Your presentation must be in English.
  9. One person can present only one paper. (Please see your acceptance letter for details).

We request your co-operation in keeping the time schedule and making the process seamless for you and the audience.
